“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” – Romans 15:7

Thoughts on Today’s Verse

Let’s take a moment today to really think about Romans 15:7, a truly important verse. It says, “Accept one another, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” Such powerful words!

What does this mean for us? In very simple terms, this verse is about love and acceptance. It asks us to love each other, just as Christ loved us. It’s a request to open our hearts and accept people as they are.

Think about your daily life. We all meet different people. Some may look different or talk differently. Some might have different ideas or values. But remember this verse: we are asked to accept them, just like Christ did for us.

Sometimes, it might be hard. We have our own thoughts and opinions. It can be challenging to put these aside. But this verse reminds us to try. It suggests that through acceptance, we bring joy to God.

Next time you meet someone new, remember Romans 15:7. Try to accept them, just as they are. Just as Christ accepted you. You might find it brings you closer to God, and that’s a wonderful thing.

So, let’s make a promise to ourselves today. Let’s use this verse as a guiding light in our interactions with others. Let’s spread love and acceptance, in praise of God.

My Prayer

Kind and loving God, we’re so thankful for your love and acceptance. You love us just as we are. Help us to do the same for others. Help us remember Romans 15:7.

We admit, that sometimes it’s hard. We can be quick to judge. We can forget to love as you love us. Forgive us, Lord. Help us to do better.

Guide us, God, each and every day. Help us to accept others – their looks, their words, their thoughts. Let us honor you by showing your love in our lives.

We’ll make a promise to try our best, God. We know we won’t be perfect. But with your help, we can be better. Thank you, God.

Amen.
