Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, Rejoice! – Philippians 4:4
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
When we look at today’s verse, Philippians 4:4, it tells us: “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” Calmly think about this. Paul, the messenger, tells us to keep our joyful spirit in the Lord, no matter what happens.
In our day-to-day life, we face challenges. We have ups and downs, but Paul tells us to keep our joy. He doesn’t mean just being happy when things are going great. He speaks about a joy that remains, no matter what. A joy that comes from deep within us because we know God is with us. Isn’t that amazing?
This joy isn’t about forgetting our problems. It’s about feeling joy in spite of them because we have our Lord who walks with us, lifts us, and loves us.
Let’s keep these comforting words in mind as we face each day. If we can hold onto this joy when times are tough, we are following Paul’s advice. When we face those hard moments today, let’s smile and say, “I choose joy!” Remember, God is with us, in both good and bad times.
We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can choose how we respond. And our choice should always be to rejoice!
My Prayer
Dear God, please help me feel joy even when things are tough. Help me remember that I can choose to be happy because You are with me, loving me. Help me understand that this joy comes from You and doesn’t change because of what happens in the world.
Let me feel your love when I’m having a hard day and guide me to choose joy. Let me use the strength of this joy to help others and live in your word. I’m thankful for your love and guidance.
Amen.
