Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near – Isaiah 55:6
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near.” – Isaiah 55:6
Think about our relationship with God like the connection we feel with nature. Have you ever watched a sunrise bloom slowly, filling the sky with warmth? Or listening to a songbird, watching for it among green leaves, and feeling delighted when you spot it? This verse is like that.
God is like that sunrise, always there and ready to paint our mornings bright. He’s near, like a songbird in a tree, waiting to share His tune with us. So we are invited to seek Him, to be aware of His constant presence, much like becoming aware of the sun’s touch on our skin or the birdsong in our ears.
He is near, like the wind ruffling our hair, like the river’s song soothing our hearts. In the everyday miracles of nature, God whispers His nearness. It’s up to us to recognize and seek Him in these moments, inviting Him closer and feeling His gentle presence in the midst of our daily lives.
My Prayer
Dear God,
As we soak in the warmth of the sunshine or listen to sweet bird songs, help us feel Your nearness. Each day, guide our hearts as we seek You. Make us treasure those moments when we find You, like one admires a blooming flower or cherishes the sight of a butterfly.
Teach us that You’re close, like the soft whisper of the wind or the gentle rhythm of the rain on a roof. When we feel the warmth of the sun or the cool of a breeze, let it remind us of Your love for us.
Make us more aware, Lord, of Your presence in every moment. Encourage us to seek You eagerly and faithfully. In our quest to find You, let us be filled with joy and peace, discovering that You are indeed very near, just waiting for us to realize, respond, and receive You, with open hearts.
Amen.
