“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
The verse today is, “I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans to do well by you and not to hurt you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This is from Jeremiah 29:11.
In our everyday life, times can be tough. We can get worried. We might lose hope. But these words from God remind us that He has a plan. A good plan, too! Not just for now, but for our future.
It’s like when you go on a trip. You don’t go to just any place! You plan it. Which way to go. What road to take. That’s how God treats us. He knows the road we should take in life.
Just think about a time when something didn’t go your way. You might have been sad or upset. But later, you see why it was best that way. That’s God’s hand, not our own. He knows the best plan for us.
We have to remember to trust God. Trust those plans. Even when it’s tough. Even when we don’t understand. That’s when His words from Jeremiah 29:11 can give us hope. Because God promises a future. He promises to do good to us. And God never breaks a promise.
My Prayer
Dear God,
Today, we read Your words. Words that say You have a plan for us. A good and hopeful plan. When we face hard times, we ask You to help us remember these words.
Help us to trust in You always. To trust in your plan for us, even if we don’t understand it yet. Remind us that You want the best for us. Not just today, but for our future too.
So God, today and every day, we put our trust in You. We know You have a path for us, a future to look forward to. Thank You for Your promises.
Amen.
