“Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble” – Psalm 119:165
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
Today, this verse from Psalm 119:165 reminds us of the profound serenity that comes from cherishing and following God’s law. This is not about stringent obedience to a set of rules, rather it’s about embracing the liberation revealed in God’s loving guidelines for us.
In the vast forest of modern life, ‘God’s law’ serves as our compass. We can see it as the sun that lights up our path, or the wind that nudges us along. But loving ‘God’s law’ means not just using the compass; it means embracing the journey that it charts, viewing every guideline not as obstacles but stepping stones that bring us closer to the essence of existence.
Loving God’s law goes beyond merely obeying rules. It’s about embracing God’s word wholeheartedly and allowing it to guide us, influence our decisions, and shape our lives daily. When we do that, we experience spiritual stability, like a ship with a solid anchor amidst a turbulent sea.
My Prayer
Dear Lord,
We are so grateful for your Word, the ultimate guide in our life. Life often throws us challenges that could make us stumble, Lord. But today, we are reassured that if we seek refuge in your Word and love your commandments, nothing can unsettle us. Lord, we ask for your grace to keep us committed to your Word. As we read, meditate, and try to live by it, let it seep deeply into our hearts.
Your promises are our cushion against life’s harsh realities. Help us to navigate our way through our journey without faltering, with your Word as our loving guide.
In Your glorious name, we offer this prayer. Amen.

Last night I was struggling with something very close to my heart. The love I have for someone and setting boundaries, to guard my heart. I had thoughts of walking in her shadows, feeling of inadequate, I can go on, but to make a long story short, I was listening to one of my encouraging pod cast, and it was about Breakthroughs. 4 signs to recognize when your breakthrough is about to happen. When he got to number 3, he used the scripture Pslams 119:165. The topic for this was God will send confirmation in his word. So today as i am checking my emails I see this one from you. I’m amazed and delighted. I still have a heavy heart today, however I see God is listening to me, and he will deliver all of us indue time. He allow me to see confirmation in his word, His Peace, will over shadow what ever the enemy is trying to destroy in my life. Thank you for sharing today. God bless and keep you my new friend.
