We turn our hearts today to Psalm 16:8, “I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Close your eyes and let these words soak into your heart. Picture the Lord standing right next to you, your biggest cheerleader, your protecting guardian. Remember times when fear threatened to steal your peace. Maybe it was job loss, family strife, or sickness. It feels like a sinking ship in a storm.
Now, rethink those times in the light of Psalm 16:8. Like a steady lighthouse in the hurricane, we set the Lord before us. His presence, like a comforting blanket, wraps around us saying, “I’m here, you won’t be shaken.”
The verse doesn’t mean life is without storms. But it is a promise, an unbreakable promise from heaven itself. The promise is, God stands with us, right by our side, always. With Him, we become unshakable. As we face each new day, we know we’re not alone. We have an everlasting, unfailing ally. So we step out today, with peace, knowing we can brave any tempest with Him!
My Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are our anchor in the storms. We thank you for standing by our side, making us unshakeable even in the face of life’s challenges. As Psalm 16:8 reminds us, with You set before us, we can weather any storm.
Help us, Lord, to always keep You in front of us – in our thoughts, in our decisions, in our hearts. Let this be the guiding principle that orients our lives. Your presence is our strength and our shield.
Finally, Father, let today be a testament to your unwavering promise. Through every trial, shadow, or doubt, make us courageous, knowing that we won’t be shaken, for you, God, are by our side. In your holy name, we pray.
